A Prayer For Uncertain Moments

2 Timothy 1:7 for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

Lord, be with my husband during all his trials today. Remind us both that this is the day You have made and that You are going to lead us if we come to You before every decision. Help us, Lord, to face what comes without fear or worry, knowing You are with us always and that You have given us each challenge to grow us closer to You. We are so grateful, Lord, that we can have true and strong confidence because You have led us here and You are leading us to whatever comes next. You have promised to provide all we need and we are so so grateful that we know that includes All things, even skills and abilities, and we can rest in that knowledge. We are so thankful that You are removing any stumbling blocks from our paths and that You are bringing us into Glory and good success so that we can share Your Grace with others. Please, allow us to find a way to keep our jobs and do well in then. Allow us to do good work every day and be shining examples of using faith to get through hard moments. Remove the stumbling blocks that the Devil puts before us, save us when he would use his wiles to speak in our own heads, using those personal pronouns and saying “I can’t do this.” Because we know, Lord, that with You we can do all things, with Your power in us, we have already conquered this world.

  In Jesus’ Holy Name, Amen

A Prayer in Supplication, For Seeking, Asking, and Expecting The Best Through God’s Power

I was reading an article from Andrew Wommack tonight and in a long twisting strand of a web of synchronistic happenings in my life lately, it landed squarely on my heart. I feel so much like I’m seeking and seeking and nearly finding just exactly what I’m looking for. And that is, I believe, how a Christian is supposed to live her entire life. It isn’t that we ever are complete or finished here in our earthly lives, it is that God means us to be eternal seekers.

New Living Translation
“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7

Will you pray with me?

God,

I am seeking for You in my life, in every second and moment of it, in every corner and hidden place. I find You and Your Grace and Your fulfilled promises everywhere I look, now that my eyes are open and I am so grateful, Lord. Every day, Lord, I find some new piece of me or my life that I am still not turning over to You, though, God. I see that I am letting worldly expectations and ideas of shame and judgment get in the way of a meaningful relationship with You, Lord, and as I turn each of these hidden parts of me over to You, I experience Your true healing, love, and Grace. I know I can not hide from You. I know You have seen all of my life before You even created it, and I seek today to ask You to remind me to trust You in all things. I am so humbled by that, Lord. We can get so used to keeping pieces of ourselves from people for fear of their reactions, Lord, and I am overjoyed to remember that we need not, even can not, hide from You. Lord, release me, all of me to Your way. I give you all of me, again today, Lord. I pray You forgive me for laying worries at Your feet and then picking them back up, for hiding from You as if You were a mere human parent, and for forgetting to trust in Your love for Your children. Lord, mostly, I ask You to keep showing me how to expect the best from life because I am Your child, how to be content in every situation, yet to keep seeking and asking for more, because You have given us Your Spirit and it has already conquered all.

In grateful supplication, by His Stripes, Amen.

A Prayer Over Temptation and For God’s Sufficient Grace

2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV) But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

1 Corinthians 10:13 (ESV) No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

God, Our Lord, we know that you have said that Your Grace is sufficient. We know You have said we can trust in You when we are tempted, and that You will not give us temptation without giving us also, the way out through You. We pray today that You will show us that way. We are tempted, Lord, so often and so fully. We find ourselves wanting to face each day’s stresses and we forget to even look to You. But we do it now, Lord, we turn to You and we ask that You pour that Grace on us, Lord. We ask that You use our weakness as Your vessel and fill it with Your Grace, so that we may escape these overwhelming situations. Lord, we are so glad we can trust in You. We are so happy You are our Abba, Father, and that You are sufficient, always holding out Your glorious hand to help us from each situation. You may give us more than we can feel we can handle, but we can trust that You have also supplied us the tools to handle it, if we turn to You, as You have promised us. And so, we turn to You, Lord, and we know You rescue us, each time. By Jesus’ Stripes, We are saved. Amen.

A Prayer For Moving Ahead With Faith in Times of Surprise Changes

Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Isaiah 43:18 ESV

“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old.

1 John 5:14 ESV

And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.

Lord, today we Thank You for the changes we didn’t see coming, but maybe should have. We Thank You that you have released us and freed us from one stress and that we need not take on new stress or panic because you have pledged to care for us as you do the sparrows. We Thank You that you are in our lives and able to allow us the strength to face uncertainty with unwavering Faith in You and Your ability to make ANY THING happen. We Thank You that You are making this path straight, leading us to the next good thing You have planned for our lives. We are so grateful that we can lean on Your Grace in these times that might bring worry and instead remind ourselves that we need not live through the bad things twice, only remember that You’ll bring us through them as victors because Your Son has already conquered this world. We pray in Thanks for the new and upcoming opportunities, may we see them for what they are and be able to capitalize on them as they come our way. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
