A Prayer To Be Open and Undefensive

The LORD will vindicate me; your love, LORD, endures forever– do not abandon the works of your hands. Psalm 138:8

The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still. Exodus 14:14

Lord, I am so Thankful You’re guiding our lives, so Thankful You’re healing our relationships and making us a whole family again. I know You are moving to put our family just where it needs to be to best live as You would have us do, and to best serve Your purposes here on Earth. We know You’re putting us in a position to be the best witnesses we can be to usher others into Your Kingdom and we are so grateful You keep supplying our needs and blessing us in overflow so we may bless others. You bring us through every day, Lord, with Your Grace and every time we go to sleep together as a family we are overjoyed.

As I deal with these emotions that I’m still trying to conquer and get out of my mind this week, be with me, please. Help me to remember that I don’t need to listen to any voice but Yours and that any time I need to hear it, I have Your Word. Remind me, Lord, that You are with us always and that You make paths straight and all things work for our good. Remind me, Lord, that I need not walk around like a prickly cactus, defensive and reactionary. I need only rest in Your Favor and Renewal and keep returning to You. I know that an offended heart, a rebellious heart, a hardened heart cannot show best witness, I know that my heart needs to be humbled and softened to allow You to work in the world through me, and I pray You do that now, Lord. Work in me all of Your wonderful glory and allow me to die to myself more every day, every hour, every moment, so that only You shine through.

I am so so humbled and grateful that You allow us the opportunity to rest in You. I am so in love with the knowledge that You work in me despite my knee jerk selfishness. I know I would not make it through another moment of this life without knowing that. In Jesus’ Holy Name, Amen

And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.”

We’re still going through many changes here, and it is certain there are more on the horizon. I’m working hard to keep believing in God’s plan, keep reminding myself I don’t need to have a plan, or know God’s plan. I only need to know God has one.  Tonight, we need a little extra faith that things are going to work out all right in all areas of our lives, and so, we pray.

Lord, we know You’re moving us forward on Your path for our lives, we know You’re working to give us more than we need, and that You’ve promised to help and prosper us. We rely tonight only on You. We are so tired, Lord, and the worries creep back in at every chance. And so, we remind ourselves that we can rest, Lord. We can rest in You and receive what You are sending to us, because of Your promises, because of Your Grace, because of Your Love. We know You’ll send us all the people to help us along the way, all the blessings we need to remain where You are calling us, and all of the strength we need to get through each trial. We rest in You, Lord, gladly and gratefully, and we accept Your solace.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer For All Kinds of Healing, on His Promises

O Lord, my God, I called to you for help and you healed me. Psalm 30:2

Worship the LORD your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you,  Exodus 23:25

Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits–who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion,  Psalm 103:2-4

Lord, today we pray in thanks that You have already healed us. We don’t even have to go so far as to touch a robe of Your Son’s human body, as a poor woman once did, because You love us enough to allow us to be healed while we’re still here on earth. We pray in gratefulness that we KNOW, Lord, that while we may feel ill in this moment, You have already done the healing and if we stand in faith on your promises, we will feel that healing as well. You are all mighty, and we are so so humbled by the idea that You’d take this care of us, Lord. We are so grateful, and overwhelmed by Your Grace and Love. By His Stripes, We Are Healed! Amen
